 I recently received a phishing email claiming my storage was full and my data would be deleted. It included a link that looked like it belonged to Google Cloud:

Although storage.googleapis.com is a genuine Google domain, scammers can abuse it to host fake pages.

✔ Why this link is dangerous

• The path after the domain (/rightmoves/vimeo.html#index.php?...) is not from Google.

• Anyone can upload files to Google Cloud Storage and create links that look legitimate.

• The link contains suspicious tracking parameters used by phishing campaigns.

• The email also contained a fake unsubscribe button pointing to the same scam page.

✔ How I identified the scam

• I never purchased storage or made any payment.

• The sender address was random: nooreply@gui.furqxnejoafst.us

• The mail was sent via an unrelated server: comradeship.nigelupchurch.com

• Threatening language (your data will be deleted) + urgency = clear phishing pattern.

✔ What to do if you get similar mails

• Do not click any links (even the unsubscribe).

• Report it as phishing & Delete it

• Always check sender details and domain paths.

Stay aware and stay safe scammers are getting creative, but spotting red flags keeps you protected.
